Tell us why you became a teacher

I had an amazing 5th grade teacher. She showed me how a much of an impact a teacher could be to a student. She was kind, supportive, fun and her students knew she cared. I became a teacher to educate children and make them feel the way she made me feel about learning.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable moment was when a student came back to visit me after he graduated. He came back to tell me how much I impacted him academically and how I showed him that school can be fun. He told me he would never forget how I made him believe in himself as a student and a writer. I will cherish that moment forever.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were to win the money I would use it to help my children continue their education. I would help fund their education so they can become what they dream of with a little less of an economic burden.
