Jenna Morse

I love teaching because it allows me to make relationships that extend beyond the classroom and humbles me everyday! Everyone is a learner!

Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because of my teachers in high school who made a lasting impact on my life. They didn’t make a lasting impact because of they were focused on themselves, but rather put their all into the lives of their students, mine included. I love teaching and look forward to working with my kids and coworkers everyday!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Every year, we conduct a Mock Trial in our 8th grade class. Not only were the kids engaged in class the entire project, but I had 3 students who advocated and asked to write an entire mock trial story with evidence and character affidavits so that future students could use it for my other classes. It has been a success, and we have used the student-written mock trial project for the past 3 years! The students absolutely love it and have been inspired to write another one!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would pay off my student loans for my Masters of Education, help my family out, and use the money to serve my local community. It would be awesome for me and my husband to be able to take a trip back to my homeland South Korea since I am adopted from there.
