Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable was teaching my students about China and celebrating Chinese Lunar New Year in New Orleans! My kids won the knowledgeable part as well as our school’s Olympics! As well as gained social, emotional, and cultural intelligence in the process! No one is left behind in Mrs. Hernandez’s class! Everyone belongs and we make SPACE for everyone!
What would you do with the $25,000?Put it towards my students field trips this year that we won’t be able to provide, due to funding circumstances in New Orleans. This money is to enrich the lives of my students! Take our kids to Global Wildlife, the public libraries and children’s museums, Washington DC and beyond!
