Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I’m passionate about helping others grow and learn. I’ve always believed in the power of education to transform lives and open doors to new opportunities. Teaching allows me to inspire curiosity, foster creativity, and make a tangible difference in students’ lives. The chance to contribute to their journey, watch them overcome challenges, and develop new skills motivates me every day. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of their growth and future success.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

The most memorable teaching experience for me was when I was recognized as the district teacher of the year. It was such an honor to even be nominated. The community came together to celebrate everything I had worked so hard to do with students. So many of my former students thanked me for all have done for them. It was very special.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I would use it to pursue my doctorate degree in education. I’ve always enjoyed learning and would have already gotten it if it wasn’t for the student loan debt that would follow.
