I love helping students learn math without having anxiety. I love seeing the light bulb light up when it all makes sense.

I needed a career change and I wanted to use my pharmacy and counseling background to still help people which led me to teaching at a school that has a mentoring program where I could use my education in counseling to help students thrive.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have had this one group of students since 6th grade for math (they are now in 8th grade). I would have to say seeing their growth from having meltdowns and lots of behaviors in math to being calm doing their work and having the ability to understand the concepts is very memorable to me. I love seeing all of the students working and the light bulb moments happen daily with this group. This class has 12 IEP/504’s out of 15 students.
What would you do with the $25,000?Redecorate my classroom ( needs to be painted and I would like to have better organization as my room has no cabinets. I would also help our newer teachers on my team redo their rooms.
