Tell us why you became a teacher

I was always inspired by my teachers and was so grateful to have them in my life. I took that opportunity to use what inspired me to inspire the next generation.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was when one of my students, who had special needs, could not bring himself to write. I spoke ti his parents amd asked them if I could "do what I had to do" to get him to write and they said absolutely. I did, so when we would start witing, I would stop and pinch his nose and he would start laughing. He never hated or "couldn't" write again. He is a graduate of MIT and I am still in contact with him.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use it to invest in classroom flexible seating and treat my kids to a vacation.
