I have fun doing it. It's my passion. Building lasting relationships and seeing them from year to year. I love it when they come back!

I started as a special educator and did that for 17 years. Now, I'm several years in as a general educator. I became a teacher as it's something I love. My 4th grade teacher inspired me to become a teacher. He was my first male teacher and made me feel welcomed as I was not nervous to answer questions in his room. I wanted that for future generations so I wanted to pass that feeling along. Finally, I do it for the outcome and smiles, not the income.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceIt was when I was working with a special needs child. We must have worked on this specific skill countless times, then, he finally got it. You would've thought I won a major prize. We both were so excited!! I will never forget him or that moment.
What would you do with the $25,000?Well, if I win I won't need another vacation, so that's out. Replace some of our schools recess equipment, man does it need help. After that, buy a couple of items that are totally unnecessary ie:coffee expresso machine. Probably spend some in my classroom because that's what I do. Invest some to help when I retire. Take the family out to eat to an expensive restaurant, and not worry about the bill. Spend the rest on the vacation and have fun.Maybe pay a small bill, nope, changed my mind. 😀
