I was made for this! I’ve never aspired to be anything other than a teacher. Spending my days changing little lives- there is nothing better

From very early on in elementary school, I decided that I wanted to grow up as quick as I could so that I could head right back to elementary school as a teacher to make an impact. I made that dream a reality and now teach at the elementary school that I once attended! I actually am now a 1st grade teacher in my old 1st grade classroom! Some of the same teachers that inspired me, still teach in the building!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI once had a kindergarten student who really struggled academically, emotionally, and with peers. There was growth that year but after much discussion and thought his parents asked if he could repeat kindergarten. Their only request was that he would be placed in my class again the following year. That second year, he grew leaps and bounds in all areas! Him and I built a loving, trusting bond. He still reaches out every couple of months. He is a thriving top of his class middle schooler!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to continue my education and complete a degree in school administration. Becoming an administrator, I would have the opportunity to impact hundreds of students lives daily and build deeper connections across the school building. As a teacher and a mom, this is not something I can afford out of pocket.
