I love introducing students to new concepts/ideas. I find it rewarding when I can see things click for them while they learn.

I became a teacher to make a successful impact on my students. I have watched some students go from being in 6th grade to graduating high school. I have always tried to have a positive influence on them as they grow into young adults. Students are challenged by so many things in this world we live in, and I want them to see what possibilities are available to them. I help them research what they want to do, and what it will require of them. I wanted to share what I know with young people.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThe most memorable teaching experience I had was not in the classroom per se, but when a former student came up to me thanking me for being hard on him because he was now achieving A's and B's in his classes. This gave and still continues to give me a sense of accomplishment that I did something that impressed on him a passion to actually learn in the classroom.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would first take $5000 and invested in my classroom to help improve my student's experience, from new books to new furniture. Then I would take some money for a trip for my family. The rest I would put away, for when I need to purchase supplies for my students.
