Tell us why you became a teacher

I have always wanted to become a teacher to help shape the minds of the youngsters coming up. I have always been very invested in special education students as well. I have a personal connection to my students. I fight for them in every aspect necessary.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

The best feeling for me is when a student is having a difficult time grasping what they are required to learn and it is delivered a certain way to the whole class where the student does not understand the content, but once I present it to them in a different manner and the light bulb goes off in there brain it amazing. When the student says "Ooohhh! I get it now!" That is a memorable, priceless experience for a special education teacher.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would help my daughter complete her masters in the STEAM program as she is also following in my foot steps and is a Science teacher. She would like to pursue her second masters in Special education.
