I became a teacher because of my love for children and my desire to make a positive impact on their lives. As a single mom, I also chose this career to align with my daughter’s schedule, so I could spend more time with her while still pursuing a fulfilling profession.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy first year of teaching was chaotic—I had no idea what I was doing, and behavior issues overwhelmed me daily. I often left feeling defeated, unsure if I was cut out for the job. Over time, I learned the importance of clear expectations, consistency, and building relationships. That class taught me resilience and shaped me as an educator. Now, years later, those same students tell me they miss me, reminding me that even in the chaos, I made a lasting impact.
