I wanted to be a Special education teacher to help students like me. I was a special ed student in the 80s and 90s when we did not get extra help. I was looked at like I was crazy. I don’t want that for my students.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have some students with emotional behavioral issues. I had one who needed to go to a room with more support while they kept him in my room. He gave me so much problems but ended up being one of my favorite students.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would open a room where my students could go to calm down or take a break. I could help fund the room where the kids don’t meet the GAA class but are still to high for a resource class
