I became a teacher because of my passion for math and the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people. As an educator, I am committed to helping students reach their full potential, both academically and personally. Teaching allows me to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning in my students, while also fostering collaboration and empathy.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching moments occurred during a lesson on perseverance and problem-solving skills in my mathematics class. One student approached me after class with tears in her eyes, frustrated over a difficult problem she couldn't solve. This moment taught me the importance of patience, encouragement, and allowing students to discover solutions on their own, building their confidence and critical thinking skills in the process.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I were to win $25,000, I would allocate a portion of the funds towards improving my house and investing in new graphing calculators for my students. This allocation of funds demonstrates a thoughtful consideration of both personal and professional needs, aiming to enhance quality of life while also supporting the educational development of others.
