I absolutely love teaching! There’s no better feeling than when my students grasp the standard I’m teaching.

Tell us why you became a teacher

It took me some time to realize teaching was the right path for me, but I kept feeling drawn to it. Once I made that decision, I haven’t looked back.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable experience happened early in my career. A student came back to tell me that I had helped her believe she could do anything. I was truly taken aback and it hit me just how impactful my role could be.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I had $25,000 as a teacher, I’d first invest in resources that directly benefit my students, like books, technology, or tools to enhance their learning. I’d also set aside some for professional development—attending workshops or courses to improve my teaching. Finally, I’d probably use part of it to create a classroom environment that feels welcoming and inspiring—maybe some new furniture, supplies, or even field trips to give them hands-on learning experiences.
