I became a teacher because I love children. The patience and love I have for them came so naturally, it was never a question that this is what I was meant to do. I love teaching them the things I wish I would’ve been taught and giving them a safe place to grow or genuinely want to learn because they feel safe enough to make mistakes and enjoy the process of growth!

When a child I taught a child back 6 years later to come visit me. He was young at the time but he was repeating things back to me he learned and said has kept with him. He told me he still thinks about me all the time and knows how much I loved him! IlOr when I was actually teaching and a student stopped and raised their hand to tell me they don’t want to have to go up a grade because then they will have to leave me and not have me as a teacher anymore

I would pay my car off! I have stayed in my field this long because I love it but my pay has kept me from being able to fully take care of myself financially. My care has made it where I can get to work and also babysit and nanny for the kids who are my students outside of school!
