I became a teacher after I spent time with children in India and realized what an impact kids could have on my life as well as I could on theirs. Nothing brings me joy like watching a child grow and understand.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI started last school year with a child who spoke no English, she has just come from a different country and has no clue what school was. By the time we got to Christmas she was speaking in full sentences and by the time we got to summer she was speaking in full paragraphs. I don’t think I have ever felt so proud of someone before!
What would you do with the $25,000?With 25,000 my husband and I would finally be able to pay off some student loans and afford to start a family. A teaching salary is not amazing so figuring out takes next steps has been a challenge and would be wonderful to fully immerse myself in my job without financial stress and having to keep my 2nd job.
