Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference. I've always been passionate about helping others. The idea of guiding students, sparking their curiosity, and helping them overcome challenges is something that excites me. I believe education has the power to transform lives, and I wanted to be part of that transformation. I find joy in seeing students succeed, whether it’s through a moment of clarity or achieving something they once thought was impossible.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Watching a student who struggled with reading at the start of the year discover the joy and love for it is incredibly rewarding. It's like seeing a whole new world open up for them. That moment when they realize they can read and start to enjoy stories on their own is a testament to their hard work. It’s a reminder of why teaching is so impactful—because it can truly change a student’s perspective and set them on a path of lifelong learning.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I received $25,000, I would put it towards my children's current and future college expenses.
