Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to inspire and empower students to reach their full potential. Growing up, I saw the transformative impact education had on my life and wanted to give back by creating a supportive and enriching environment where students could thrive. Teaching allows me to make a lasting difference, foster curiosity, and shape the leaders of tomorrow. It’s a calling driven by my passion for learning and belief in the power of education to change lives.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was during the pandemic when we shifted to virtual learning. It was a challenging yet transformative time. I connected with students in new ways, creating innovative lessons to keep them engaged and supported despite the distance. One moment that stood out was when a student shared how our virtual class became their safe space during uncertain times. It reinforced my belief in the resilience of students and teachers and the power of adaptability in education

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would embark on educational travels to explore diverse cultures, historical landmarks, and natural wonders. I’d document these experiences to create immersive lessons, bringing the world into my classroom. From sharing artifacts to designing virtual field trips, I’d inspire students to see beyond their surroundings and embrace global perspectives. This would foster curiosity, cultural appreciation, and a deeper connection to the subjects they study.
