Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because of my deep passion for working with children. My journey started in high school, progressing from childcare to preschool, and now into my seventh year as an elementary school teacher. The joy of shaping young minds and impacting future generations drives me. I’m passionate about learning and making a difference. Building lasting connections with students and guiding their growth is what makes teaching so incredibly rewarding.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching moments happened outside the classroom when I delivered a bike to a student in need. The joy and gratitude on his face made it one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had. It showed me how important a teacher’s role is, both inside and outside the classroom. Witnessing the impact we can have on a student’s life, and knowing a simple act of kindness made his Christmas unforgettable, was truly powerful.

What would you do with the $25,000?

As a teacher and a mother to my beautiful one-year-old daughter, I understand the value of education, so part of this money will go towards her college fund to ensure her future is bright. My husband and I are also saving for our first home, where we can build memories for our growing family. With the current market, this support will mean so much and help tremendously with a down payment, bringing us closer to our dream home and a bright future.
