Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential and fostering a love for learning. I believe in creating an inclusive, supportive environment where every student, regardless of their background or ability, feels valued. Education has the power to change lives, and I want to be part of that transformation. Seeing my students grow and succeed is incredibly rewarding, and it motivates me to continue making a positive impact on their lives.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was working in Spain for a few weeks with a group of English Language learners. It was rewarding to help them navigate a new language and culture, watching their confidence grow as they made progress. The students were eager and motivated, and their progress made the challenges of language barriers worthwhile. It was incredible to witness their excitement when they successfully communicated in English, and I learned a lot from them too.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I had $25,000, I would start by using part of it to invest in my personal growth, like furthering my education or taking professional development courses to improve my teaching skills. I'd also allocate some funds to giving back to others—maybe by funding educational initiatives or helping support students who need resources. Finally, I'd save or invest the rest to build a more secure future, making sure I'm set up for long-term success while also supporting causes I care about.
