Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I have a deep passion for learning and a desire to inspire others. Education has the power to change lives, and I wanted to be a part of that transformation. Growing up, I had teachers who ignited my curiosity and encouraged me to think critically, and I wanted to provide that same support to my students. I believe in fostering a love for knowledge and creating a safe space for students to explore their potential. Teaching allows me to make a meaningful difference.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was when I organized a project-based learning initiative focused on environmental sustainability. My students collaborated to create a community garden, researching plants and sustainable practices. Witnessing their excitement as they planted seeds and watched them grow was incredible. The project not only taught them valuable lessons about teamwork and responsibility but also instilled a sense of pride in contributing to our community.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were awarded, I would invest it in enriching my classroom and supporting my students. I would purchase new educational resources, such as books and technology, to enhance learning experiences. I’d also organize workshops and activities that promote creativity and critical thinking. Additionally, I would set aside funds for scholarships or supplies for students in need to ensure all hve access to quality education. Ultimately, I want to create a lasting impact that extends beyond d classroom
