Tell us why you became a teacher

I remember I wanted to be a teacher since very young. I will never forget my Kindergarten teacher; "La Maestra Ana." She was the best, her classroom environment was really accommodating and full of learning. I can close my eyes right now and see the big posters of the letters on the wall of her classroom. She was my initial influencer to become a teacher.After I graduated and encounter many experiences teaching my kids,I knew I was in the correct career,I feel fulfill.I found what completes me.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

There is many memorable teaching experiences... Last year I started teaching 2nd grade, I used to teach 5th grade. The first 3 months of last school year, my head used to hurt and the end of the day, I was getting used to the change, to how 2nd graders are not as dependable on themselves and it was my turn to convert them in responsible and dependable students. Now every time they see me in the hallways, they run up to me and hug me. That hug reassures the good job I did.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Those 25k would fix some of my financial issues at the moment. I would use part of that money to pay off the debt from my Master's Program and also use the other part on a down payment for another car, my husband and I currently share one car, we both work... We have to pay someone to drop of our Down Syndrome son in his inclusive school and someone to pick him up. Therefore those 25k would be a great help in our lives. Economy now days is not friendly, everything went up.
