I didn't fit the mold of a typical student. I struggled with grades and decisions until senior year, when a teacher saw me for who I truly was. Their belief in me inspired me to become a teacher.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable moments was when my team of 6th graders raised $18,000 to build a well in Kenya. Inspired by 'A Long Walk to Water', they wanted to make a tangible difference. Seeing them embrace empathy and global citizenship was truly inspiring.
What would you do with the $25,000?I've always dreamed of visiting the village where my students' well in Kenya provides clean water. It would be a profound journey to witness firsthand the impact of their generosity. Additionally, I would love to make memories with my family. Family time is very important to me.
