Tell us why you became a teacher

I was "that student." Bad grades, lack of motivation, and all the rest. But a teacher in my Highschool brought so much joy and laughter to my life that made me feel like I wanted to be someone else's spark. I became a teacher because Mr. White cared!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I started my first teaching position at a school teaching my class of 2nd graders. They were hard and I was new! We grew together and I learned so much. 3 years down the line the kids would still pop in my class to say hi, but I had given my resignation letter since I was moving in with my fiance. One of my youngest and smartest students gave me a friendship bracelet and shed tears when I told her I was leaving and wouldn't be there to see her in 5th grade. I still think of her today!

I'd like to be debt free! College was expensive!
