Learn MoreMy parents were teachers so it seemed like a no-brainer. At first I took a different path, but when I found myself looking for a new job the "tutoring and traveling" ad caught my eye. I became a reading intervention specialist for several years and I knew I had found my niche. I returned to school three times, ending in a Masters of Science in special education. Here I am to this day!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my hospital program students was nonverbal and unable to control his limbs so I learned to duck his right and left hooks by not sitting too close. Eventually, he clocked me right in the eye ... twice! One thing he could do was laugh... Well, you get the picture!
What would you do with the $25,000?With this money I would pay a chunk of my home equity line of credit, enjoy a family vacation, and put the rest in a savings account for my family's future.
