I became a teacher to help students see the wonders in our everyday life. Kids spend so much of their childhood in school, I want them to enjoy learning and make it a lifelong habit. Just being able to make students enjoy their day and want to come to school fills my bucket.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI lead an animal care club which regularly volunteers at an animal shelter. Each visit is not only fun for the kids but also helpful for the shelter staff and animals. The kids do enrichment activities to help animals become more adoptable. They are allowed to observe surgical procedures and get handsnn on vet tech experience. We also read to dogs which helps quiet their anxious barking and whining. It's an awesome experience we share twice a month
