I became a teacher because I am passionate about fostering a love for learning in children and sharing the best practices I've acquired through experience. Teaching feels like a calling to me; it's about connecting with each child, understanding their unique needs, and motivating them to reach their potential. The joy of witnessing that moment of understanding—a child's "light bulb" moment—reinforces my dedication to this rewarding profession, where I can make a significant impact on young lives

One day, I saw a student that I taught when he was a 4th grader. That student was a senior and getting ready to graduate at the top of his class. When he saw me, he said, " I thought about you one day when I was in Walmart. I remember creating an invention in your class where we improved an object and I had an advanced shopping cart". He told me how that project made him to think outside the box and to that day, he continued to push himself to extend his learning.

If I won the $25,000, I would transform my classroom into a "Mad Scientist Lab"! I would start with state of the art equipment, lab tables and chairs, science models and all the materials needed for experiments! My students would have access to science in motion not only in the class, but also that dream field trip to iFly! This prize would touch the hearts and minds of my enthusiastic students!
