I became a teacher because I love children and I enjoy seeing how their faces light up when they are learning.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience has been from the last two years teaching 4th grade. I had some students who were well below level in their reading. As I began to work with them consistently, they have shown significant growth. I am so proud of them. They are now in upper grades and continues to show growth.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I was blessed to win or be given $25,000, honestly, I would pay some bills off, take a mini weekend get away to the beach. I would also buy materials for my students such as reading books, learning hands on manipulatives for math and reading, erase boards/eraser expo markers, and award incentives.
