Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to encourage young minds the same way it happened to me when I was young. I had a teacher that put her all to help me succeed. The way she focused and put her all into her students encouraged me to want to do the same. I want to be the reason why my students want to dream big and reach for their goals.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience has to be when I had a student that was struggling to do a math problem and I stopped the whole class and I taught them in a relatable way using the students as actors and when they really caught on to what or how it was done it was like a lightbulb moment in all the students eyes. After it was done that student came to me, gave me the biggest hug and told me they were so happy that I helped them and they will never forget it.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I win the $25,000 I will use that money to pay off some debt, I would use some of the money to treat my students to a nice class party. I will also take my family on a grand vacation they deserve it as much as I do.
