I became a teacher to empower the youth of Augusta, GA, providing them with opportunities, mentoring them, and showing that with determination, anything is achievable. My goal is to help students explore their options, enabling them to become law-abiding, productive, and educated citizens. Through education, I strive to give them the tools they need to succeed and thrive in their communities, making a positive impact on their lives and the world around them.

I organized a mock court session for the Greatest Scientist of All Time, inviting the district and other Social Studies teachers. My students passionately argued their cases, with impressive objections and rationale. It was the best court session ever! This experience inspired many students to challenge everything with facts, rather than accept things at face value. It fostered critical thinking and a love for learning, making it an unforgettable educational moment.

I would develop a social studies competition that includes the three branches of government and a mock court session. Students who pass the EOC would be rewarded with a trip to Washington D.C. This hands-on learning experience aims to deepen their understanding of government processes and inspire civic engagement. The trip would offer a memorable and educational opportunity to see the nation's capital, reinforcing the lessons learned in the classroom and fostering a sense of accomplishment.
