I began teaching in the second semester of the 2022-2023 school year as a long-term substitute to help pay off my nursing school bills. What started as a financial decision quickly became a passion—I found joy in guiding students, inspiring curiosity, and making a difference in their lives. The classroom became a place where I could grow alongside my students, and I knew I wanted to continue teaching until I complete my nursing journey. It’s been an incredible experience!

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was last school year when I assigned my students a STEM project. They researched STEM careers, explored the education needed, and presented their findings to the class. The project sparked curiosity and future aspirations. To cap it off, the entire middle school took a trip to High Caliber, where they learned about entrepreneurship and enjoyed go-karting, football throwing, and more. It was an inspiring and rewarding experience for all!

With $25,000, I would pay off part of my school bills, easing the financial burden so I can focus on earning my nursing degree without the constant stress of juggling work and studies. This would allow me to dedicate more time and energy to my students, ensuring they have meaningful learning experiences. It would also help cover my existing debt, giving me the stability to not only support my education but also manage everyday living expenses with less worry and more purpose.
