Learn MoreI became a teacher because when I was 12, I was a camp counselor at a camp for special needs preschoolers and loved it. Ever since that summer it was my dream to be an elementary teacher. I loved babysitting and any other activities that involved children. I am living my dream job.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceEvery year I have so many memorable teaching experiences it is hard to pick just one. But the thing that makes my heart go pitter patter is when a student is having trouble with a concept and another student goes over to help. Listening to their compassion and explanations is angreat way to assess learning. I love when they help and encourage each other. My firsties are the best!
What would you do with the $25,000?If I would win the 25,000 dollars i would make homework backpacks for my students so that they would have everything needed to complete all types of homework and would encompass all learning styles. Also, I would buy my students literature books to start home libraries to promote reading in the home. Lastly, I would plan a fun activity for my school colleagues to promote positive mental health.
