Tell us why you became a teacher

I wanted to share my love of learning and love of kids. My desire is to develop a love of learning in my students even when it is hard for them. I also enjoy developing a family environment with my kids to help them learn how to be an all around good kid.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I had worked with a first grade student all year to help him learn his letters and their sounds because he was a grade level behind. Our deal was if he got them all mastered then I would get him a big prize. He said he wanted a bicycle, so we shook on it and made the deal. Months letter he mastered the letters and their sounds, so one morning, to his surprise, I came pedaling in on a kid’s bike during our whole school’s morning announcements in the gymnasium. The whole school celebrated with him

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would pay off my house, we are so close and I would love to accomplish our goal early.
