Tell us why you became a teacher

I became teacher not only because I am a learner myself but my passion to help others. The opportunity to lead others to find what sparks their interests and curiosity. I teach in two languages, a learning space to teach different subjects like science, reading, writing, etc. in different learning styles. To spread the curiosity, to embrace wonder of challenges and explore opportunities that will impact students inside and outside a classroom, real and relevant experiences.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable experience was when I was able to teach about so many subjects into one lesson. In class, students learned about ‘el coqui’ el frog from Puerto Rico. The students got to learn about the life and importance of why this frog is one of its kind. The unique sound of the frog, just like musical note , the learned vocabulary ‘coqui’. The writing and drawing of their coqui and learning the science behind it. It was a whole learning experience students got to breakdown and connect with

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000 l would buy a house and pay some of my student loans. I feel grateful I can continue to use this as a foundation to help others and pass down my passion for teaching and giving back to others with purpose and commitment.
