I love seeing students have that “aha!” moment and realize that the math they do in class is what they often do mentally every day!

I became a teacher because I love learning and wanted to show students that it can be fun! I wanted not just impart knowledge, but also the JOY of knowledge and how it can help them in so many ways in life.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable experience is when the 7th grader everyone labeled the 'problem student' not only began doing his work in class but starting asking and answering questions and offering to help. All it took was a bit of understanding (he had ADHD so I let him pace at the back of the room as long as he didn't disturb the other students). It opened my eyes at just how important it is to see them deeper than just a student- they are trying to figure things out like the rest of us.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would probably use it to pay down my student loan debt, honestly!
