Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because it is one of the most honorable professions in the world. Teachers have the opportunity to help make and mold all others. No matter your profession in this world, most have come through by a teacher!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of the most recent memorable experiences occurred in 2023 when I lost my mother. I have for the most of my life been a secondary high school instructor. However, I was sent at that time after her demise to an elementary/middle school to help the students with reading. I was transitioning from a high school as an instructor teaching collegiate writing. I leaned on my mother spirit and Instructional practices and brought the students to one of the highest reading levels in the district!

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were to win $25,000 I would first and foremost go on a vacation! As an educator, I have truly denied myself travel time being dedicated to the profession. Secondly, with the remainder of the funds, I know being me, I would invest some into a program for our youth!
