I became a teacher to inspire young minds with discipline, resilience, and passion for learning. My military background taught me the value of leadership and perseverance, which I now instill in my students. Education is a powerful tool to shape futures, and I strive to empower every student to reach their full potential through knowledge, structure, and encouragement.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable moments as a teacher was receiving a heartfelt letter from a student who had been homeschooled until last year. She shared how being in my class made a major impact on her life, helping her feel confident and valued in a new environment. Knowing I could inspire and support her during such a big transition is a reminder of why I teach—to make a difference in the lives of my students.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would enhance my classroom by upgrading engineering and technology supplies, providing hands-on learning tools, and supporting student projects. I would also expand HelpingHandSS LLC to offer more resources and assistance to those in need. Additionally, I would save a portion to invest in my children's future, ensuring they have opportunities for success and growth.
