Tell us why you became a teacher

I was deeply inspired by my high school teacher, who excelled in her subject and taught us how to write poems. Her guidance ignited my passion for poetry, and I eagerly pursued it. Our school had a publication, and I decided to submit my work. To my surprise and joy, my first poem was published. That moment filled me with happiness and solidified my dream of becoming a teacher—to share knowledge and inspire my future students.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was coaching a student for a regional spelling bee. He was among the best students I had at the time. We traveled between islands to participate in the competition, which was incredibly close. Although he narrowly missed winning and placed third, I was overjoyed because he became my first regional winner.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I plan to donate funds to my school to purchase essential facilities such as computers, books, and gym equipment. Additionally, I will allocate a portion to support teachers' participation in training and seminars to enhance their teaching skills.
