Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a special education teacher because of my nephew. I wanted him and all children to get a good education. I feel education is vital to life and your future. I wanted to help people who do not have access to good teachers get access. I pride myself on teaching children to read and write!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable experience is during Covid I had a distance learning kid who could not sit still long enough to learn. I gave him the opportunity to play mind craft with me on Fridays and we spelled words out in there. He is now reading and writing on grade level.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the money to buy my first house. I do not have enough money to purchase my own house and have been trying!
