I love seeing children progress to their goals. I love the look when a student gets what I am teaching! Children also give great hugs!
Thank you for supporting Cindy Rambo in this year's competition. Your donations and participation will benefit The Planetary Society in their mission to advance space exploration, inspire discovery, and empower the next generation of innovators.
I graduated with a degree in Business and took a job as assistant manager in a grocery store. I did not like business, so I started substitute teaching in kindergarten! I fell in love with teaching and loved being with children. I want to help children become productive adults. I am now teaching autistic children and see them progressing and learning. It makes me so happy to see that I am making a difference. Maybe, I can change the world one child at a time!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience is the time I was teaching special education, and one of my students was a second grade home schooled student who could not hold a pencil. He also had a people phobia. I worked with him every day. At the end of third grade, he could write, read, add, subtraction, multiple and divide. He would interact with peers and adults. I am so proud to be part of my student's success! I love making a difference and never give up on my students!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would invest it in my Grandma Gertie books. I am writing board books about Grandma Gertie's adventures. The books are based on my mother who always helps children. She helped raise her siblings. She raised her step daughters, her own children, grandchildren and great-grand children. She has been diagnosed with Dementia this year, and I would like to get my books published while she can still remember.
