I ove watching my students grow academically and it feels so fulfilling knowing that I had a part in it.

When I was in HS, I wanted to be an actress but then I took a child development class as an elective because it was the only elective that fit in my schedule. There was a little boy in that class that did not want to go to school. He would cry and try to hang on to his mom every time she dropped him off. He was very shy and wouldn’t participate in any activities. I worked with him and made it a point to get to know him and eventually he flourished. It was so rewarding to be part of his success!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have been teaching for 28 years so it’s difficult to choose just one memorable moment. I love that my former students make me feel like a celebrity. Whenever I’m walking in the hallways and see my former students, they are so excited to see me. That makes me feel so special.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use it towards my Daughter’s college tuition and I would donate some of it.
