I became a teacher to make a difference. It’s hard when I am very underpaid and schools are underfunded. For instance, my sister makes more than I do and she has an associates degree and I have a masters in Education.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was for Christmas, I got a letter from a student that I had some time ago. In the letter she thanked me for believing in her and pushing her. She reminded me the reason that I began to teach is to reach the kids that so many have failed.
What would you do with the $25,000?With $25,000, I would buy a car and I would pay off some debt raise my FICA score and be able to use my VA loan to buy a house for my family. Sounds small but it would. Change our lives.
