I became a teacher to share my love for learning with children. I became an art teacher to explore art and creativity with children single day.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceIt’s so hard to pick just one day, one of my favorite is definitely the first clay project I ever did with my students. It was a new skill for me and them so we were discovering the magic of ceramics together. Their amazement of the firing process and how elated they were with their finished pieces was so special.
What would you do with the $25,000?Fill our art supply cabinets with our favorite art supplies and lots of new ones for us to explore. I would also buy a bigger kiln for our clay projects. I could also use funds to take students on field trips to see art at our local museums.
