Growing up in poverty and surrounded by addiction and abuse, I lacked stability and support, never dreaming of a better future. After becoming a mom and volunteering at my children’s schools, I saw many kids like me who felt lost and hopeless. This inspired me to return to school, supported by my husband and kids. Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI’ve had so many incredible experiences teaching, It’s hard to choose just 1. The personal connections I’ve made with so many kiddos and being a part of their adult lives now is maybe the most memorable. I get to see them beyond the classroom become the humans I always knew they would become. I love seeing them, learn to believe in themselves and push themselves towards their goals and being allowed to be a small part of their lives is something I will never take for granted.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would probably pay off my kids student loans.
