It really wasn’t a thought at first. I wanted to do social work but I started a family and the best choice was education so I could stay with them. I wanted them to have the best care possible and I love kids. Horror stories of abuse made me realize I’m a good person to have in a class, and I can trust myself to love them like they are my own while in my care. Watching them hit milestones fulfills me.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceWhen I was working with younger side, infants made me realize I love this job. Helping them walk for the first time, or teaching them their first words or sign language. It really does excite me and watching them be proud of themselves is the best thing ever.
What would you do with the $25,000?Use it as the down payment to find my family’s forever home. They deserve it. They deserve a yard, somewhere to run and be kids.
