Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to helps students feel successful, growing up I did not have many teachers that helped me through academics and social struggles and I want to see that happen for the students I teach.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

A student who was one of my toughest a few years ago, at the end of the year cried because he didn’t want to leave me. He had been kicked out of multiple schools and I made it a safe and open environment for him. He still comes by, updating me on his progress and to get hugs.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would put the money towards helping my classroom & school and I would love to give back to the community to make a youth center, a safe spot for kids to go to.
