Tell us why you became a teacher

I've always had a passion for learning and am proud of how far my education has taken me. Although I didn't always have the best teachers, my love for learning and my desire to teach others inspired me to become the kind of teacher every child deserves.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was when I worked with a student who struggled with basic reading skills. At first, they found it challenging and often became discouraged. But through consistent one-on-one support and finding creative ways to make learning fun, they began to improve. The turning point came when they were able to read a short story on their own for the first time. Their face lit up with pride, and that moment reminded me of the power of persistence and personalized teaching

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I had the opportunity to receive $25,000, I would invest it in resources that support both students and teachers. I’d allocate part of the funds to acquire educational technology, like tablets or interactive learning tools, to enhance the classroom experience. I would also use a portion to fund professional development opportunities for myself and my colleagues, ensuring that we stay updated on the latest teaching strategies.
