Teaching is a place of change! Once you build that strong relationship with the kids, they open up to you and you are their safe space.

I became a teacher because I watched my dad have this love and passion for every single one of his students. They loved him and learned so much about life from him. I now am able to do the exact same thing with my students.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy first year teaching was the hardest yet most memorable year of my life. I was trying to staff 11 2nd graders, multiple behavior problems with no parent support, and best thing was having no AC for half the year in Florida. Weirdly enough, this class is the class I will never forget because of how close we all became in rough times.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would help give back to my family who has done everything in their power to help me be successful in and out of the classroom. I would also use this money for mission work. Mission work is a passion of mine, but it can be expensive to travel to certain parts of the world.
