Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I liked magic as a kid, being a science teacher was the closest thing I could find to a magician. You get to blow minds and inspire those around you through the fascinating world of science.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I placed 31st in the NYC marathon and when I hobbled down to the cafeteria that next day of the NYC public school I was teaching in at the time, I was greeted buy a roaring applause of the entire middle school congratulating me on my race. I felt like a celebrity. Another memory that was not so great is a student stole my phone and threw it in a toilet because it was a tik tok trend. You get the good and the bad as a teacher!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the money as a down payment on a house. My fiance and I are starting our life together this Fall!
