I became a teacher because growing up I had many teachers that went above and beyond to make me feel cared for during difficult times. I want my students to know that there will always be someone in their corner to support them the way my teachers supported me. I want to create opportunities for my students to know that they are capable of achieving their dreams.

My most memorable moments happen in between the learning; from the sidetracked lessons to cheering them on along the sidelines at their games and when previous students stop by to tell me about their day.

This money would allow me to buy my first home in or near the town I teach in. I have always wanted to be a teacher and move to the place I am currently teaching in. My career has been a dream come true and to be able to own a home here would be the cherry on top. Thank you so much for your consideration!
